OPERATION COIN TOSS PHASE II: WE AREN’T FINISHED YET

(Citrus County, FL) The Tactical Impact Unit (TIU) of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has covertly executed Phase II of Operation Coin Toss, a comprehensive operation aimed at cracking down on the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics within our county. The first phase of this operation was completed in August of this year, resulting in 24 arrests. We are pleased to announce today that the second phase of our operation was another resounding success.

“Illegal drugs and the problems they cause are relentless, they kill people and destroy communities over time. Using any sort of illegal drug is destructive and affects the quality of life for everyone,” said Sheriff Mike Prendergast. “Illegal drugs have no place here in our community. We aren’t passing out warnings, we’re slapping on handcuffs, and we are taking these criminals to jail to face justice. The men and women of this office took an oath to protect and serve the citizens of Citrus County, and to protect and serve they will.”

After securing four search warrants for residences on the east side of the county, with the help of the State Attorney’s Office, detectives, patrol deputies and our state and federal partners, CCSO executed 21 arrest warrants.

Search warrants were served at the following addresses-

 6841 North Bighorn Point, Hernando, FL
 4505 North Canyon Terrace, Hernando, FL
 4 South Wadsworth Avenue, Hernando, FL
