The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is a full-service law enforcement agency serving Citrus County, Florida. Citrus County is located on the west-central coast of the U.S. state of Florida. Citrus County has two incorporated municipalities, the City of Crystal River and the City of Inverness, making the CCSO the only law enforcement agency in the county. The county seat is Inverness, and its largest community is Homosassa Springs.We humbly serve over 162,500 residents and the more than 530,000 people who visit our county every year. In 2022, our deputies conducted 30,819 traffic stops. Our office received 271,447 total calls for service in comparison to 186,753 calls in 2021. Those are the calls of our citizens needing our help, and those calls were answered whether it was for a deputy to respond or a citizen needing help obtaining a copy of a record. Speaking of response, we unwaveringly listen to the concerns of our citizens and integrate those very needs into our operations. We do so because our community members are also the eyes and ears of our operations. We welcome their help to make our county the safest place to call home.
